Faith
Formation concerns
itself with providing formative experiences to enable a person’s faith to
become “living, conscious and active” as he/she journeys all
throughout life. Faith formation encompasses adult catechesis, Baptismal Prep,
Marriage Prep, pre-school, elementary programs, as well as middle and
high school Youth Ministry. Each year, the parish offers a number of intergenerational
programs, geared to meet the formational
needs of all members of the parish on a given topic. The Rite
of Christian Initiation (RCIA) is an ongoing process within the parish;
designed to welcome new members into the Church and at the same time, lead
every Catholic parishioner to deeper belief and renewal of his/her Christian
faith. The Faith
Formation Board meets monthly on Monday evenings beginning in September in
the Faith Formation office from The Youth
Ministry Core Team, comprised of youth and adults, has monthly meetings to
plan for the continued development of effective ministry with younger and older
adolescents. |
